Beatrice the Bunny - free crochet pattern

Updated: Mar 4

Easter is just around the corner and if you're looking for a pattern for the perfect cuddly bunny to add to your loved one's basket, Beatrice is here for you. At approximately 13", and with her pear-shaped body and floppy ears, she's absolutely lovable.

I first designed this sweet little rabbit for a friend several years ago when she asked me to make her several wildlife stuffies for her son's nursery. As he grew, his rabbit was one of his favorite critters to pack around. It's been almost 10 years now and, although he no longer packs it around and it is a touch worn from years of loving, his mother still holds onto that rabbit as a keepsake. Hopefully, your bunny will enjoy the same degree of adoration.

  • If using safety eyes, attach them between rnds 10 & 11, placing 1st eye in space 1 sc before 2nd increase and 2nd eye in 1 space after 3rd increase. I also find it easiest to embroider the nose at this time (using pink yarn, embroider an inverted triangle from the center of MR over 2 rows, lining corners up to relate to positioning of eyes)

Begin stuffing and continue as you progress
