For my second washcloth pattern, I have chosen to share the Crunch Stitch Washcloth. This wash has more texture than the Woven Stitch Cloth and is wonderfully suited for light scrubbing. Keeping your slip-stitches relaxed makes this easier to work up and I find it a much faster fabric to build.
Again, this will make cloth measuring approx. 8″ x 8″

YOU WILL NEED:
50 g (1.75 oz) cotton worsted yarn
H (5.00 mm) crochet hook
STITCH ABBREVIATIONS:
ch – chain
sl st – slip stitch
hdc – half double crochet
TO MAKE:
Ch 31
Row 1: Sl st in 3rd ch from hook, *1 hdc in next ch, sl st in next ch; rep from * to last ch, sl st in last ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, skip 1st st, *sl st in next hdc, 1 hdc in next sl st; rep from * to end working last sl st into turning ch.
Row 3 and following rows : repeat row 2 until piece measures approx. 8″
Last Row: Ch 1, skip 1st st, sl st in back loop only of each st across. Fasten off and weave in ends.
